Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

The short version: Kitty Cleaner runs entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded, copied, or shared. We don't have servers, we don't have accounts, and we can't see anything in your library.

Who we are

Kitty Cleaner ("the app", "we", "us") is a mobile app that helps you tidy your camera roll by swiping to keep or delete photos. This policy explains what data the app touches and why.

Photos and media

When you grant photo access, the app reads your photo library on your device so you can review and delete photos. Photos are displayed and, if you confirm, deleted through your operating system's standard media APIs. They are never transmitted off your device and are never sent to us or to any third party.

Purchases

Kitty Cleaner offers a one-time "Premium" in-app purchase that removes nap breaks and the waiting timer. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and managed on our behalf by RevenueCat, which tells the app whether you own Premium. This process uses an anonymous purchase identifier - it is not linked to your name, email, or contacts. Please see the privacy policies of Apple, Google, and RevenueCat for details on how they handle transaction data.

Usage analytics

To understand which features people use and where the app can be improved, we collect anonymous usage analytics through PostHog, hosted in the United States. This records which screens you open and basic feature events - for example starting a swipe session, keeping or deleting photos, viewing the Premium screen, or completing a purchase. We only ever send counts and totals (such as how many photos were kept or how many megabytes were freed); no photo content, filenames, dates, or any per-photo metadata is ever included.

These events are tied to a pseudonymous, randomly generated install identifier - the same anonymous purchase identifier used by RevenueCat - never to your name, email, or an account, because the app has none. Analytics is switched off during development and testing. PostHog and RevenueCat act only as our data processors, and the data is used solely to improve the app. It is never sold or shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Data retention and deletion

The anonymous purchase identifier and purchase history are retained by RevenueCat for as long as needed to keep your Premium unlock working. You can request deletion of this data at any time by emailing us at the address below; we will forward the request to RevenueCat and confirm once it is processed. Deleting this data may remove your ability to restore Premium on a new device.

The anonymous usage analytics events are retained by PostHog so we can follow product usage trends over time. You can request deletion of the analytics tied to your install identifier at any time by emailing [email protected].

Launch waitlist

If you sign up on our website to be notified when Kitty Cleaner launches, we store your email address solely to send you launch and update notifications. It is never sold, shared, or used for anything else, and you can ask us to remove it at any time by emailing the address below.

Data we collect

We do not collect personal information and we do not require an account. The app contains no advertising trackers, and we never sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. The anonymous usage analytics and purchase data described above are processed on our behalf by PostHog, RevenueCat, and the app stores.

Children

Kitty Cleaner is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
